GUNG HAGGIS FAT CHOY

What a fine example of the cultural diversity and (relative) harmony in Canada :)

Bugger

Top of the World, originally uploaded by Krasnyi Fotoapparat.

Broke my DSLR yesterday huzzah! What a bloody idiot I was... mounted a lens on the wrong way and had to force it off the mount. Result- snapped two of the electronic contacts just inside the mount. The ones that merely control AF and aperture that's all(!) So.... no more 350D, at least not with any of my AF lenses. Looks like I will *have* to use it as a manual-lenses-only backup body for my yet to be purchased 40D.

To make life more irritating, I have a shoot coming up on the 7th June and it looks like I won't have a proper camera to shoot it with as my bank account is so overdrawn that I can't handle the £600 needed for a 40D :( Something better turn up... and fast!

Anyway, here's a shot taken a few weeks ago when I went munro bagging with my mates in Scotland.

Bokeh Van + Sakura

Bokeh Van + Sakura, originally uploaded by Krasnyi Fotoapparat.

There's something about Cherry blossoms that has always fascinated me. Maybe it's because of my Asian roots! Anyway, nothing captures it better than with a nice Olympus OM1 and some Fuji Reala.

His and Hers

Well well well, never thought I would turn into a 'blogger'. However, with exams looming, this will be a perfect procrastination exercise. Who knows, I might even learn to like it... or kick it into the dark abyss that is the interweb once I get bored of it in a weeks time.

First picture for the blog: taken when I popped up to Glasgow earlier this month. I went to University there, and loved it so much (not just the student life you understand!) that I decided to work and live there for another few years. I have a lot of very good friends up there and tend to pop up whenever work/life/uni here in London allows!

Two things you will notice from my blog in the future
1- I'm crap at blogging/writing
2- I tend to be over interested, nay, obsessed with photography in all it's forms. Therefore expect lots and lots of pictures. Not all crap hopefully. What I can't say with words, I use a 5kg Soviet Camera to put across...
